The Active House Alliance has signed a memorandum of understanding with FISH clusters (network for Future Industrialized Sustainable Construction & Urban Development) on testing the Active House specifications in specific constructions. At the moment FISH clusters are working in following markets:
- Scandinavia
- Germany
- Poland
- China
By entering the partnership The Active House Alliance commits itself to share the knowledge and experience that comes from working with the Active House specifications. Through demonstration projects FISH clusters will on their side use the Active House specification as their reference and give feedback on the use and effects in Active Houses, in order for the alliance to continuously adjust the Active House specifications.

Active House is a vision of developing buildings that give more than they take – of healthier and more comfortable buildings with care for the climate and the environment. The Active House Alliance unites interested parties in a balanced and holistic approach to research, product development, building design and performance. Currently 44 organisations have signed up to the Active House Alliance and more than 600 users are registered at activehouse.info. It is the ambition that Active House becomes the future principle for new buildings and renovation worldwide.

FISH clusters stands for Future Industrialized Sustainable Construction & Urban Development. The overall vision of the FISH program is to provide a new and innovative business model that allows Danish companies and organizations to enter the foreign market for sustainable buildings and urban development. The intention is to build a stronger market presence in China, Germany, Scandianvia and Polen for Danish suppliers of green technologies for buildings and districts, architects and advisors, as well as research institutions.
The FISH program is targeted at improving the quality of future Eco Cities and Eco Buildings, while at the same time maintaining competitive prices through means of mass-production and supply-chain optimization.
